Things children like
Many preschool children use smartphones
80% of preschool children enjoy playing games on a smartphone.
We assume that the thought of games = smartphone applications is being generalized, because many preschool children start using a smartphone from a young age.
How to play games with children
Fathers see games as a tool to communicate with their children
Fathers play video games with their children more often than mothers, and from this we can assume that fathers use games as a tool to communicate with their children. However, from elementary and high-school age onwards, we see a downwards trend of this, and children start to play games by themselves more and more.

The game environment surrounding children has changed significantly compared to the past, including the mobile game machines and smartphone game applications. And since programming is becoming a mandatory part of the child’s education from 2020, there are many games and toys to learn while playing. With this background, we conducted a survey targeting parents with children between the ages of 3~12 who play games to assess their attitudes and ideas regarding games and children.
