Sharing and informing the questions and doubts of daily life through our original mini-research style “SMART RESEARCH”
This time, we will deliver the results of the survey we did on ASMARQ monitors about “Purchasing Home Appliances”.
We found that “price comparison site” are used by more than half of monitors as a way to gather information when considering purchasing an electrical appliance.
While “manufacturer’s websites” and “online reviews and information on SNS” were used by a relatively large number of them, the result shows that a a higher percentage of them selected “at the store only” or “mostly offline” as the means of purchasing products. Consumers tend to use “online” or “offline” services depending on the situation such as they use online tools to compare prices and functions, while they check the actual product and make a purchase in stores.
Also, when we did a research on what they check when purchasing home appliances, “easy-to-use” was selected by the largest number of respondents (70%), followed by “price” (67%), and “brand (Manufacturer)” (45%).
The reason people choose “ease of use” over “price” after understanding the overall price on a “price comparison site” seems to be that they are convinced with the product before purchasing it. Home appliances are seen as essential products in people’s lives and have become a part of their daily lives.
